someone turns three tomorrow

My baby girl turns three tomorrow.  Three.  It sounds so old!  I feel like now she is now officially a little girl.    Looking at these pictures I sit and wonder how she got so big!  It happened in a blink.

I decided to make her a princess dress for her birthday, she doesn't have any dress up clothes so I knew this would be the perfect gift for her.  One of my favorite dresses is Taylor Swifts Wonderstruck dress.  Duh, whose isn't?! Anyway, so I had the inspiration in my head and made a call to my sister (she always does the best at talking me into things;) and twenty two yards of tulle later here you have it.  Yes, twenty two.  Good thing the stuff is cheap.  Honestly, it was a really fun project.  Minus the fact that I they ran out of the color of Tulle half way through the dress and couldn't find it anywhere in Texas, yeaaah so I tried my first attempt at dying fabric and somehow got the color near perfect.   I cried.  Seeing her face light up and sing a princess song when she tried it on made it all worth it.

We took her around town and she looked like a real life princess. Oh, and we had to involve glitter.  A lot of glitter.  Fingers and toes and of course the real stuff.  Love this one to pieces.
